Summer essentials!
Sangeet and mehendi functions are always the tricky ones where we aren't sure exactly what to wear and how dressed up we should be. Dressed up is okay at any wedding function as long as you are comfortable and it's in line with the function's level of seriousness. So things to consider would be the venue (so you wouldn't wear a heavy, over the top outfit at a function that is held at home for example). You would also need to consider the attendees. If it's close family and friends, it's best to keep things simple and elegant. If there are people attending that you want to make an impression with, then yes, pull out the big guns. Also, is the function in doors or outdoors. We don't want to bling it up too mug for a day time outdoors wedding. These look best in bright, colorful yes simple outfits that are beautifully accessorised.
With these pre wedding functions, comfort is key for me. The henna application as well as the constant munching and dancing all require you to have an outfit that moves easily and is light to carry. You can't fully enjoy yourself taped in to your outfit.
