My designs are my statement. It just so happens that so many of you share my taste and that so many of you are converting your style mantra to accept my creations. That is a hugely rewarding thing for anyone.
For me, simple is elegant. In trying to conquer the Indian design space, it was challenging for me due to my style ethos being so vastly different to what's known and accepted in that design space. I've had to covert one client at a time and it's been a fun process.
The new collection, The Indian Garden is a prime example of how I enjoy the traditional nuances of design keeping a modern approach in mind.
The silhouettes of The Indian Garden are simple and straightforward. The main reason for that is keeping them wearable. The pieces should be easy enough to wear and go. They should be fuss free. The intricacies and details of the design remains rich but the wearer shouldn't be overwhelmed.
I've explored more traditional colors this time around and I've played with traditional elements a lot more. The fabrics are richer and purer. The craftsmanship is extraordinary this time around and it's a timelessness that I'm after. A few pieces that stand out are included in this blog and these are easily interchangeable. The whole point in investing in pieces is to be able to bring them out time and time again.
This collection includes pieces that can go from the mehendi function to the wedding reception and everything in between. There are pieces suited for wedding shoots and even a beautiful garden brunch. We loved creating this collection for you and we hope you love it too.....
